Background and Experience
I was raised in a small town near Sacramento, California. After graduation from high school in 1979, I moved to San Luis Obispo, California and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Between 1985 and 1990, I worked on various large construction projects in a variety of cities in California. Between 1990 and 1992, I worked for a government contractor that provided engineering services to the US Navy. In 1996, I began working for a government contractor that provided IT support to the US Postal Service. For seven years, I was deployed to the Main Post Office in Springfield, Missouri, and I performed a wide variety of IT functions. In 2003, Windows XP allowed the USPS to outsource (to remote locations) all of their IT support, so the Springfield position was eliminated. During the years that I was working for the USPS, I also contracted with local businesses to build databases, and I have been able to continue this work since then. |

Summary
Since the economic downturn in 2007, my workload has diminished. I am interested in any type of employment (full-time, part-time, contractor). In today's market, I only expect to work for about $20 per hour, but if you decide that I should have more, that would be fine also! Thanks in advance.
